On Post Housing ( Rent On-Post )
You can contact the housing office at 210-295-8519 The Housing office is located at 2490 Stanley Road, Fort Sam Houston. This office will handle applications, for on-post housing and waiting list information.
Please keep in mind that there is a process involved in renting on post housing to include wait times.
Off Post Single Family Rentals-You can choose to rent off post if you wish. Check our database for available single-family homes.

Joint Base San Antonio is a joint base under the jurisdiction of the United States Air Force 502d Air Base Wing, Air Education and Training Command. Joint Base San Antonio was formed when Fort San Houston was combined with Randolph Air Force Base and Lackland Air Force Base in October 2010. The joint base is one of twelve joint bases in the United States and was a result of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Initiative. Fort Sam Houston’ primary mission is to serve as a medical training and support post with the 502nd Mission Support as its base host. The mission of Fort Sam Houston is to support soldiers deployed worldwide with contingency operations. Lackland Air Force Base offers security forces, communications and infrastructure support for the 802nd Mission Support Group. Randolph Air Force Base is home to more than 30 Department of Defense units which include the Air Education and Training Command, the Air Force Personnel Center, and the 12th Flying Training Wing. Housing at Joint Base San Antonio is offered through over 650 privatized housing units. Military personnel are required to visit the housing office and fill out a housing application in order to be placed on a waiting list for on-base housing. Those looking for off-base housing will receive assistance from the housing office who maintains a list of available properties for sale or rent in the nearby communities.
Billeting units are available for temporary housing. If the units are full, the Inns of Lackland also offer temporary housing accommodations and have agreements with the hotels and motels in the neighboring communities to offer military discounts. If traveling with pets, be sure and call in advance to be sure that a pet-friendly facility is available or that kennel arrangements can be made. Single service members can be housed in the Visiting Airmen Quarters for up to 30 days if there is no dormitory space. Personnel can request reimbursement for temporary lodging expenses.
